Where to Fish in Pecan Island

A prime local fishing hole, White Lake is just north of Miller-Green Lodge on the Southwestern coast of Louisiana in the Vermilion Parish, and offers an abundance of freshwater fish waiting to be hooked.

Crabbing and frogging can also be enjoyed as their seasons are open year-round in Louisiana. If you’re feeling adventurous, try out bowfishing for gar – which typically reach lengths of five feet and longer – and bring home unforgettable stories your fishing buddies will be jealous of!

Boat tours are also available to guests with our talented local guides who know where the best honey holes are for a great day of fishing. These guides are not paid by the lodge, and work solely off of tips.

Then, enjoy supper and the stunning sunset on one of our two enormous screened-in decks in our luxury lodge overlooking the Floating Turf Bayou.
